Team Introduction

The Multimedia & Artifical Intelligence Security laboratory from the School of Computer Science in Fudan University (Fudan MAS) currently has three faculty members (Xinpeng Zhang, Zhenxing Qian, Sheng Li), along with postdoctoral researchers, Ph.D. students, and master’s students. The lab focuses on multimedia and AI security, with research directions covering Multimedia Security, AI Security, AI Applications, and Intelligent Cultural Tourism. The team has published over 400 academic papers, including top-tier journals and conferences such as IEEE TPAMI, TIFS, TIP, TDSC, TCSVT, TMM, TCYB, ICCV, NeurIPS, AAAI, IJCAI, and ACM MM.

Application Requirements

We welcome outstanding candidates, both from Fudan University and other institutions, to apply for Master's or Ph.D. positions in our lab, either through recommendation (for postgraduate exemption) or via excellent performance in the graduate entrance examination. Our lab focuses on cutting-edge research areas such as information hiding, authenticity verification, AI security, and AI applications. We emphasize real-world relevance, maintain an open academic environment, and are well-suited for students aspiring to conduct in-depth research at the intersection of artificial intelligence and security.

We are looking for students with the following background and abilities:

  • Strong programming skills, with proficiency in Python and other commonly used programming languages;
  • A solid understanding of deep learning fundamentals and experience with major frameworks such as PyTorch or TensorFlow;
  • Background knowledge in computer vision and machine learning;
  • A passion for research, with the ability to think independently and solve problems;
  • Good English reading and writing skills, with the ability to read academic papers fluently;
  • Strong teamwork, communication, and execution skills;
  • Prior experience in computer vision, deep learning-related projects, competitions, or research is a plus.
